The youth of Good Shepherd and the Steele Creek area gather together every Sunday evening (5:00-7:15) during the school year, to celebrate what God is doing in their lives; by eating together, worshiping together and sharing with each other during small group time.

Meal Team Member

  • Assist in preparation of meals at weekly meetings

Set-up/Break-down Team Member

  • Help prepare the Multipurpose Room and Worship Center before and/or after BIGHOUSE meetings

Trip Chaperone

  • Accompany youth on trips and outings

Prayer Team Member

  • Provide spiritual support for our Youth Ministry; students, families, and leaders

Event Support

  • Provide logistical and planning support for BIGHOUSE events

Youth Bus Driver

  • Drivers with a CDL license and a bus endorsement are needed for the 10:00 hour on Sunday mornings, as well as for various monthly service projects and events

Small Group Leader

  • Leaders facilitate discussion with small group of students during BIGHOUSE meetings

J-Walking Guides

  • Needed for weekly Sunday morning J-Walking class, which serves Senior High students during the 10:00 hour
  • Each week, the class leaves by bus for a different location around the Steele Creek area

Student Mentor

  • One-on-one mentoring of a same-gender student
  • Student Shepherds provide deep, personal, and Scripturally-grounded mentoring for young people

Sunday School Teachers

  • Students need the Word of God, and to learn how to understand that Word and apply it to their lives
  • Sunday School Teachers are on the front lines; weekly meetings with students to read and discuss Scripture in a way that engages and challenges them
